HRH Prince George Alexander Loius

It has finally happened. The long awaited royal baby of Great Britain arrived late in the afternoon on the 22nd of July, 2013. kate-will-georgeThis adorable little bundle of joy is named George Alexander Louis two days after he was born, by his parents, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William, and his wife, Kate Middleton.Β George Alexander LouisHe will be known as His Royal Highness Prince George of Cambridge. I’m guessing he’s gonna grow up to be a fine young man. Fine and good looking, given his genes are a mixture of Prince William and Kate’s, both of whom passed with flying colours in the ‘looks’ department.

Gotta say. I’m always a tad bit confused when it comes to the titles of the royal family of Great Britain. Prince Charles of Wales, Prince Edward the Earl Of Wessex, Princess Beatrice of York, Princes Harry of Wales, Prince William the Duke of Cambridge, Prince George of Cambridge, and the list goes on. So most of the times, I stick to simple titles like Prince Charles, Prince Edward, Prince William, etc etc. πŸ˜‰

I can’t help but smile when I see pictures of the proud parents with their newborn. It’s just so sweet. It’s like a part of a fairytale.Β kate-will-george (2)Will-Kate-GeorgeThough I know that life as a public figure ain’t a bed of roses all the time, but for that moment in time, Will, Kate and George looks like the perfect picture of a perfect fairytale. It’s just such a nice sight to behold. Kinda makes me wanna go, “Aawwwww…” every time I see pictures of this little royal family. It certainly doesn’t help when the proud parents let slip little tit-bits like how Kate mentioned that Will changed baby George’s first diaper, or how Will said that his son ‘has got a good pair of lungs on him’. Lol! πŸ™‚

Of course, I may have paid a bit more attention to the birth of this baby as compared to other famous offspring, reason being, I used to have a crush on Prince William. Hahaha! BUT, that was when I was younger and he was younger. Lol!Β prince-william-age15He was about 15-16 years old, and I was 11-12 years old. It’s a kiddy crush. He’s cute. He still is actually, despite having a slight hair-loss problem. I still find him dashing and looking as fit as any prince charming would be. πŸ™‚

One thing that caught my attention besides the adorable baby Prince George is Will & Kate’s attire for the day.Β kate-will-fashion(2)Just one day after giving birth to baby Prince George, Kate is looking absolutely stunning. Of course, according to new reports, she had her hair stylist fixing her hair in the morning before she left the hospital, but I still feel credit should be given to her for looking so good just a day after delivery. It’s kinda inspiring. I mean, I would wanna be like her someday, looking presentable at all times, even if its a day after giving birth. Teehee! πŸ˜‰ Oh, and Prince William is the definition of ‘sophisticated casual smart look for men’, in my opinion. I love guys who are able to dress casual smart well. Formal is kinda easy, casual is kinda easy too, but many slip and fall when it comes to casual smart. πŸ˜‰

Anyways, as much as some people think this news has been given way to much coverage than it deserves, I personally feel that it’s nice once in a while to read about a joyous news. Lately it seems, almost every news article I read is either depressing or just downright stupid. So yes. I’m one of those who are happily reading away about this royal newborn. Happy news makes people happy. πŸ˜›

Breakfast @ The Mugshot Cafe, Chulia Street

When Vic came back to Penang for the short weekend 2-3 weeks back, we decided to try one of the mini cafes that popped up like mushrooms after the rain whenΒ Penang got it’s heritage status.

Our pick? The Mugshot Cafe.20130723-155227.jpgLocated at the heart of the city, along Chulia Street, this cafe has quickly gain its fame for their cute cozy decor. Take note that the chairs and tables are really low and pretty small. You may have to fold your legs under the table (IF you can manage to fit it under the table, of course). πŸ˜‰Β 20130723-155247.jpgMy personal thoughts? The cafe’s physical looks is like a pretty good combination of the times of the past and the our current world. Matching old fashioned wooden chairs and tables with modern lightings, etc etc. And even with the small chairs and tables, one would probably feel pretty comfortable sitting there and catching up with their friends, relatives or loved ones.Β

Though, be warned. This cafe does not have much variety in their menu.20130723-155521.jpgThat’s pretty much it. Yogurt, bagels and beverages. And the prices are not actually cheap if you really consider the menu. RM 10 for yogurts? RM 10 – RM 12 for bagels ? And RM 5- RM 12 for beverages? Okay, maybe the beverages’ prices can be considered sort of reasonable, but the yogurt and bagels are a tad bit higher than market price, I guess. Lol. So, given the extremely limited choices and slightly pricier food there, I doubt I’ll dine there frequently, but I definitely won’t mind dropping by occasionally for a bagel or two. Lol! πŸ˜‰

Caught this funny notice by the cashier an I just can’t resist taking a picture of it.Β 20130723-155317.jpgGood to know that they value their customers. Haha! But as for the second sign? I beg to differ.Β 20130723-155343.jpgI ordered a hot Mocha, and its a real disappointment, especially when I read the sign at the cashier before I got my Mocha. I can’t really smell the coffee nor taste the chocolaty-coffee taste of a Mocha. So, imagine my worry when they put a notice stating that their ‘bagels are great but their coffee is even better’, and the Mocha I ordered is pretty much one of the worst I’ve tasted. Meh.Β

But thank God, when the bagels arrived, they did not disappoint. We ordered 2 bagels to be shared between the both of us.Β 20130723-155446.jpgThe ‘Cream Cheese & Smoked Salmon Bagel’. This is pretty yummy. Something a little different. The salmon is fresh and surprisingly blends pretty well with the taste of the cream cheese. πŸ™‚ I do actually like this bagel.Β

The other one we ordered is the ‘Bacon & Egg Bagel’.Β 20130723-155502.jpgThis is taste pretty good too. I know the egg wrapped in bacon may look small as compared to the bagel muffin, but believe me, when you cut it up or bite down on it, you won’t notice it cause it would be flatten and spread wide over the bagel muffin. I can’t even decide which bagel is my favourite cause I like them both. πŸ™‚ However, that being said, as yummy as the bagels are, it’s not the best I’ve eaten, but it is pretty delicious. I definitely would recommend this for bagel lovers.Β

Another thing that this cafe is supposedly famous for is their yogurt.Β 20130723-155541.jpgSo we decided to get one as well.Β This is the ‘Mango & Walnuts Yogurt’. It’s fairly average, I’d say. Not bad, not fantastically good either. It’s just average. It’s a nice dessert to have, if you’re already at the cafe, but I definitely will not drive all the way to the cafe just to get the yogurt. Hm. πŸ˜‰

One of this cafe’s signature is the photos people take when they’re there. It’s not called The Mugshot Cafe for nothing. So remember to take your mugshot there when you drop by to grab a bite. State your name, height, the date of your visit and your ‘charge’. Then point the camera and……………………………..

Despicable Me 2 (2013)

Despicable_Me_2_posterI was really looking forward to this show simply because of Agnes, the cute youngest sibling, and the crazily adorable minions. And let me just say that, Despicable Me 2 totally didn’t disappoint at all. Great show. Entertaining, albeit having a typical simple storyline.

It’s nice to see villain turn father, Gru, exhibiting his fatherly behaviour in his own weird way.Β despicable-me-2-gru-edith-agnes-margoTrust me when I say, his own weird way. Haha. Him and his minions raising 3 girls. It’s weird alright, but it’s also somewhat sweet. πŸ™‚

New in this animation movie’s storyline is a plot for romance. πŸ˜‰despicable-me-2-gru-and-lucyYup. Gru got himself a girl. When they first met, I thought maybe the girl is some villain character for all of 5 minutes, then I realized she’s pretty cool. Lol!despicable-me-2-gru-lucyI think it’s great that the way they write and script the romance part is simple enough that kids would be able to understand easily. It’s very kid-friendly. Reason I say this is cause cartoons nowadays like to make things complicated and very adult-like, which I feel is ridiculous. So kudos to the writers and crew of Despicable Me. πŸ˜‰

I still feel myself melting under the cuteness of Agnes, the youngest sibling and daughter of Gru.Β despicable-me-2-agnesShe’s unbelievably adorable! It’s so adorable that everytime she appears onscreen, I feel like going, “It’s so adorable I’m gonna die!!!!!!!!” Lol!

And I’m glad they gave the minions a tad bit more screen time in this sequel. Considering the craze everyone is having over them, I think the producers and writers made the right move to put in more ‘minion-time’. πŸ˜‰Despicable_Me_2_Minion_Costumedespicable-me-2-minion-golfer-1The costumes they put the minions in is seriously hilarious! And really, I think no one is able to resist the charm of these yellow little things. That being said, liking the minions is one thing, going so crazy over it to the point of almost tearing down the McDonalds shutters to get first in line for the toys is a total different thing. πŸ˜‰ I’m glad I’m in the first category of liking the minions but not obsessing over them. πŸ˜‰ TeeHee! πŸ˜›

Though I gotta say, I don’t find them very likable when they turn purple and evil.Β Despicable_Me_2_purple_minionThey look pretty revolting. Haha. And the cause of them turning purple? The gross ‘muscle-man’ villain.Β Despicable_Me_2_villainLol! And yet again, I wanna commend the producers and writers of this show for making the villain kid-friendly. So, even though the bad guy is bad, he’s not hateable (is there such a word? Hhmmm). πŸ™‚

All in all, this is a really feel good show. I’d recommend it to everyone even though I know some guys will say it’s a waste of money to watch cartoon in the cinema. Lol. I know some of my guy friends did. Haha.

I’d definitely wanna watch this once in a while for entertainment purposes. Lol!

World War Z (2013)

World_War_Z_posterI wasn’t very excited about this show even when people around me were proclaiming how great it is cause, well, hello… zombies????? And it’s not a chick flick zombie movie, like ‘Warm Bodies‘. This is a through and through zombie movie. So yeah. But I’m glad I did agree to watch it with Mich and Boo Leong, cause it is a really great show. It’s really good. And seriously, I won’t mind watching it for a second or third time. πŸ˜‰

I think the only person I really noticed in this show is Brad Pitt.world war z brad pittNope. As much as I think he’s good looking, I’m never a Pitt fan. But I gotta say he did a splendid job in this movie as Gerry Lane, a retired UN investigator, trying to protect his family and save the world at the same time. I guess being the father of 6 children in reality, 3 of which is his biological kids, helped in the intensity we see in him protecting his onscreen family in this movie.Β family2I think if a zombie apocalypse is to really happen, Mr. Pitt here will react in exactly the same way, with of course a couple of body guards in tow, since in reality, he is loaded. Lol. But yeah, there’s no doubt he’ll protect his family with everything he has if any of these were to happen in reality.

The show is mainly focused on Pitt’s character Gerry Lane alone, but it doesn’t make me roll my eyes like I did when I watched X-Men Origins: Wolverine, where that entire show is focused on Hugh Jackman’s character alone. Unlike the X-Men Origins: Wolverine, World War Z does not feel like its revolving around Pitt, even though the focus is all on his character. So, I was thoroughly entertained throughout the movie.world war z brad pitt2The thrill, the suspense, the drama and the slight touch of humour were balanced perfectly to make the movie a great watch. I definitely won’t hesitate to buy this movie so I can re-watch it, even though horror is not really my genre. πŸ˜‰

And truth be told, I actually found this scarier than movies like Resident Evil, etc etc, because this seems more realistic. As in, you can easily imagine it really happening. I mean when I watch Resident Evil, I know it’s all fiction, but when I watch World War Z, watching nations turning into zombies, and see those zombies still looking like human, just that they’re rotting human, is really somewhat realistic. I guess sometimes, adding a small twist to the most common and simple things in life, is the scariest cause its relatable and imaginable. If you ask me, the scariest movies are the one that can fuel your imagination after you’re done watching the movie and is home alone. πŸ˜‰

Anyways, coming back, this scene almost blew my mind.Β wwz-outside-israelJaw dropped when I saw this. I just had to take a deep breath. Lol.

World War Z. Great show. Definitely worth the watch in the cinema. Definitely worth re-watching it as well. πŸ˜‰

Hear, hear!

20130510-012806.jpgThis is not to encourage a snobby princess attitude, but rather, to remind ourselvesΒ not to let anybody treat us any less than we deserve. We are worth whatever we think of ourselves. We are precious and special, individually. Do not let anyone walk all over you. πŸ™‚

***Peace out, bitches!***

Oh, Jensen! You’re Just Too Adorable!

Came across this set of pictures of Jensen Ackles during the recent JIBCon 2013, while surfing the net.Β Oh gosh! My heart just melted……. *swoon*

So what happened was, Misha Collins, who was on stage with him at that time, was fooling around and decided to clip a baby panda toy onto his microphone. And his reaction was captured on camera. *squeal*

20130521-113943.jpg20130521-113950.jpg20130521-113957.jpg20130521-114005.jpg20130521-114013.jpgIt’s just too adorable for words! And if you watch the video of this on YouTube, as unamused as he looks, when the panda fell off a short while later, he actually looked disappointed. Aarrggghhhhh! His cuteness and adorableness is killing me! Then again, what’s new, right? πŸ˜‰ Lol! He’ll always be the definition of the perfect man, in my opinion. πŸ˜‰

Note : This set of gorgeous pics is by a Supernatural fan who goes by the name ‘redteekal’. Redteekal’s Tumblr page has tons of good quality, gorgeous pictures of the Supernatural casts, mainly Jensen and Jared of course!

The Crush

It’s quite a …………… fluffy feeling, to develop a crush on someone. Yes. I know fluffy is not a word used to describe a feeling, but it’s the best way I know how to express it. Okay. Not really making sense, but yes, it’s a giddy feeling. That, of course is provided you don’t fall too deep. That’s when the hurt comes in if your affection is not reciprocated. But if it’s only a minor girly crush, then it’s a fun thing. The kind of crush that you know it’s just nice to crush on but you seriously doubt you’ll be with the person in the end. This is what I call the feel good crush.

Just a little something to add some spice in your life. The little skip in the heart when he looks over to you, the butterfly that flutters in your tummy when he talks to you or smiles at you, the bright smile that would rival the sun when he cracks a joke or say something funny to you, etc etc. πŸ™‚

So I realized that as extrovert as I am, I’m more frequently than not, attracted to quiet guys. Quiet, but not meek. What most people would describe as the strong silent type. But in my case, with a sense of humour when needed. πŸ˜›

Anyways, the one who’s quiet, smart, musically talented (this upped the attractive points, obviously), friendly and helpful with a little quirky sense of humour is so adorable!!! Physically, he’s just average, normal. Geeky, a little dorky, and definitely nerdy. But as a person, so adorable! Turns my heart all mushy! *giggles* But yeah, it’s just something to giggle and go ‘fluffy’ (yes, I know fluffy is not usually used to describe situations like these, but get over it.. geez) over. I’m definitely not expecting anything from it. Heh. Can’t even see or imagine it. Haha. Just a a little something to spice up the mundane life. TeeHee!
