I came across this post on Instagram, and I can’t help thinking, “Ain’t that true.” But I can’t help scoffing cause I guess not everybody is like that. Believe me, I’m a realistic person. I know we can’t expect this type of attitude and behavior from everyone. I actually try to understand any individual’s situation when things people don’t walk with integrity. But what makes it annoying and disgusting is when its coming from a Christian who on a daily basis, proudly tells people about his/her religion. I had to control my gag reflex chatting with the person.
I’m a Christian, and I don’t go around telling people how good or perfect or ‘christian-y’ I am. As a matter of fact, I always tell people, I’m far from being pleasing in God’s eye, but I’m trying. I still bitch about people when I’m pissed, I still gossip about people I don’t like, I rarely read the bible regularly, and the list goes on. But I’m trying. So when a person who publicly preaches and let people know how ‘Christian-y’ he/she is, and yet behind close doors has no integrity, it pisses me off.
Fancy trying to teach me how to lie to save his/her own ass. How selfish can some people be? Luckily I’m smart enough to turn the thing around and put the responsibility back on the person so that I don’t have to lie. But I definitely can’t erase the disgust I felt when I was asked, straight to my face, to lie, by a Christian who publicly proclaims how ‘Christian-y’ he/she is. Gosh.
Although I don’t show it blatantly, I have utterly no respect left for the person. Ugh.
It is not often we are able to find someone who just gets us, our jokes and our snarky comments. Not to mention, they also share almost the exact same thoughts and opinions as us. Not 100% but close enough. 😛 And I’m glad I found a friend in ‘Elmelda’ a couple of years ago. And a close friend at that. 😀
Caught up with Imee for breakfast over one of the weekends. I recommended her this particular dish simply cause I know she loves bacon, just like me. Teehee! Located at a small coffee shop along the row of shophouses, ‘a.m. cups’ are 3/4 cooked eggs wrapped in bacon, ham or sausage. I really love this simply but yummy breakfast, preferably either the one with the bacon or the sausage. The one wrapped in ham is somehow lacking in taste, maybe cause the taste of the egg manages to overpower that of the ham. Huh. Anyway, its still tasty. Each cup costs RM3.50.
You can even order it as a set. The set comes with 2 cups and a bowl of mushroom soup. However, as yummy as it is, I don’t think this is something that I can take everyday. Prolly only once in 2 weeks. Oh well, still happy I found a nice breakfast dish, even though the coffee shop is really not an ideal place to sit and chat. 😛
I finally managed to do it! On another person. Haha. This braid was done on my aunt’s hair. Looks gorgeous, if you ask me. 😉 Unfortunately, I have not mastered it well enough to do it on my own hair. Dang!
Nonetheless, I’m still proud I managed to do it. For a person who ain’t too good with the hair, I think it’s quite an accomplishment. Simple joys in life. Teehee! 😛
Watched this a couple months back. And to date, I think I may have watched this at least 3 times or more. It’s just that good. Seriously, I’m not some super movie critic but I enjoyed this show thoroughly. Despite it having only a handful of locations shot in the scenes, and also only one attire per person throughout the entire show, this movie kept my eyes and attention glued to the screen from beginning till the end.
My personal opinion? I think is this Channing Tatum’s best movie so far. Playing a divorced father who brings his little daughter to the White House for a visit and ended up being caught in the middle of an attack on the White House, Tatum plays the hero of this movie pretty well. I was quite impressed by his performance, relatively speaking. His portrayal of a protective father is passable, at least. 😉
Throwing Jamie Foxx into the mix did spice things up a little more. Love how they blend humour and action into the movie without coming off as a comedy, but rather an entertaining action packed show. Though, Jamie Foxx playing the President of the United States, had me smirking a little. I mean, he’s not very serious, is he? Haha. But, he does fit into the role perfectly, in this movie. Sassy, tough with a touch of homour President.
It seems like all the characters were pretty great picks. Case to point, Joey King who plays Tatum’s daughter did a great job.I actually love her character here. And she made it believable. Her father’s a her0, and she’s a courageous little kid. So kudos to this little girl. 🙂
Truth be told, I was a little doubtful when I first consider watching this, but, I’m glad I did, cause it exceeds my expectations. 😉
Located at Krystal Point, this is not one of my top favourite place for Thai food. However, they serve decent Thai food, and provide really cheap nice set lunches. Perfect for weekdays lunch. 😉 It’s only RM 9.90 for each of the sets below. It comes with a drink and a choice of either a bowl of clear tom yum soup or a dessert.
First up was the Fried Rice. It was fairly average. I’m kinda amused at how they placed the rice. Start-shaped! Haha! Mum ordered this with the Lemongrass Juice and the Clear Tom Yum Soup, and it costs RM 9.90. 😉 The Clear Tom Yum Soup is quite yummy actually.
Then there’s the Green Curry Chicken Rice. Mine. It comes with a glass of Ice Lemon Tea and Tum Tim Krop. RM 9.90.My rice came in a heart shape. Haha! Gotta say, the green curry is quite nice. Wouldn’t say the same about the Tub Tim Krop though.I actually hate it that it comes with ice CUBES. I’ve had this dessert that comes with grinded ice, and that was delicious. Somehow, it just doesn’t go well with ice cubes. Oh well, too bad. Next time I go there, I’m gonna pick the soup instead of the dessert for the set lunch then. Teehee! 😉
Gotta say though, as decent as the food is, personally, I don’t think it’s a place where you can frequent cause it gets a little kinda stale. But it’s definitely not my last time lunching here. 😉
Well, it’s actually more of a cafe than a restaurant, if you ask me. However, I gotta say I like the simple concept of the store. Situated at Krystal Point Penang, it’s comfortable and air-conditioned. Best of all, the food is pretty good and cheap. Well, at least the ones I’ve tried is good.
The Fried Rice, without prawns but with Chinese sausages instead. When I first saw it, I thought it would just be average, but I was surprised. I think it must be the Chinese sausage, but it made the fried rice taste pretty good. The entire place smelled good and the taste matches the smell. I hope I’m making sense. 😉
Then there’s the Traditional Minced Meat With Rice. Love this. They sure don’t scrimp on the meat, and its served hot. Sometimes small cafes like this make their food beforehand so that service is quick. The service here is definitely not slow and the food served is hot and freshly cooked. At least the times I’ve been here, it’s been like that.
As it can be seen, the dish is served with a bowl of soup. Bonus points from me. I love soup! Haha. I’ll definitely frequent this place whenever I’m working cause its nice, cheap and the service is satisfactory. 😉
