Finally! I got it! My Evan RealFeel Practice Pad. Been looking all over for this but still couldn’t find it. In the end, I decided to order it from Australia and have Ben carry it back for me.
Now, I can finally practice rudiments on it! 🙂The slightly sad thing is that it was cracked at one corner when I got it. The courier service probably dropped it during delivery. 😦 Nonetheless, I’m still happy I finally got the pad! 🙂 However, knowing myself, if there’s a chance for me to get another one, I would get it, cause I want a nice one without cracks. Lol! It’s just me and my weird habit. If its something I like, I don’t mind spending shitloads just to get it from halfway around the world or to get another one that is 100% perfect even when I already have one which is slightly cracked. Lol. 😉
For those who don’t know about this, The Big Bad Wolf Book Sale is a book fair where books are sold at 75-95% discount! The books are seriously dirt cheap! Book lovers will absolutely go mad in there, provided of course you go when the stocks aren’t sold out. 😉
I missed the one in Penang last year, and told myself I must not miss the next one. So, when I found out that the the book fair is back again this year, I made sure I didn’t miss it. Went during a weekday so as to avoid the crowd. I saw many people with shitloads of books queuing up at the cashier. Some as many as 40-50 books. Kinda shocking though. Made me wonder if they’re buying just for the sake of buying cause it’s cheap (yes, there are people like that) or do they really read every single one of the books bought. 😉 I didn’t get many, only managed to pick out 6 books that I’m interested in. But I’m happy enough, cause all those six books, including 2 which are hard cover, cost only RM 48! When usually, a single book easily cost RM 49.90. So now, at least for a couple of months, I don’t have to worry about splurging on books. =)
My latest obsession : Bright red lipstick.
I tried it before many years ago, and it didn’t seem to agree with my face at that time. Now, while I was watching the latest cycle of America’s Next Top Model, the bright red lips that filled the room caught my attention. Seeing this reignite my attraction towards bright red lipstick all over again. So, I decided to give it another try. Went out and scouted for a nice shade of bright red lipstick. Finally settled for this.
The L’Oreal Colour Riche Lipstick in British Red. Absolutely love the bright red. Was still a little doubtful as to whether I can carry it off, since it was pretty much a failure many years ago. Tried it on, and ta-daa~~~!!!
Think it looks pretty okay this time around, don’t ya? 🙂 Thank God! Haha! Glad I bought it! 😉
Retail therapy is not always a good thing. Ended up buying 3 pairs of shoes a week ago. And realized 24 hours later, I only really liked the white one. Sigh. Oh well. A girl can never have too many pairs of shoes! =)
Am always looking for a baby pink and white gym bag. Could never find a good one. Then, while shopping at Parkson Gurney 2 Fridays ago, I spotted this.
A duffle bag from RipCurl. Fell in love with it the minute I saw it. Though it may not be pink and white, but it has that girly edge feel that I love so much. And it was on 50% discount! I just had to get it. And I did. Lucky me, it was the last one there. Hee! *satisfied*
It’s now my new gym bag, as well as luggage bag for short trips. Loving it!
Saw the advertisement for this fragrance by Playboy bout half a year ago on Cleo magazine. Fell in love with it immediately. Looks fun, cute, girlish and hot all rolled into one. There are three different fragrances in for this range. ‘Play It Lovely’, ‘Play It Sexy’ and ‘Play It Spicy’.
Last night at Gurney Plaza’s Guardian store, I finally spotted them being sold. Tried all three. Liked all three. But decided to get the ‘Play It Sexy’. Besides liking the name, loved the smell. Haha. If after using it, I find it really nice, I may just go back and buy the other 2 fragrances of this range. If not for the fragrances, I can get it solely for the bottles. They’re so cute! *big smiles*
The Logos Hope ship is finally in Penang. It took me a week or two before I visited it. Was kinda lazy at first. But managed to get there at last. Twice. Once on Tuesday and again on Friday.
After two trips to the ship, I managed to ‘harvest’ a couple of good books. Or at least, those of my interests. And they’re all pretty cheap. Bought my hard cover books for only RM 32 each. Satisfied. =)
I even got a DVD on the story of Jesus. For RM 8. Can’t wait to watch it. Wondered if it’ll be nice. But I guess, anything that tells the story of Jesus can’t be that boring. =)
Am planning to go back one more time before the ship leaves Penang end of this month. Hoping to find some new books restocked on the ship. =)
