About two weeks ago, I decided to cut my bangs. It has grown so long that I don’t think it should be called bangs anymore. I didn’t wanna go for a whole trimming plus bangs cutting session though. That would cost me around RM 50, and since my hair growth rate is so slow, it would take me even longer to grow my hair out after trimming! So, I decided to just cut my bangs and nothing else. No point going to the hair saloon then, right? Hence, I did what some of my Aussie cousins did : DIY. Lol!
I tried YouTube-ing for a ‘How To Cut Your Own Bangs’ video and the first one I came across was this one. It gives clear directions and it’s pretty helpful, so I didn’t look any further.
Okay. Let me just say, I have really low tolerance towards people who likes to act cute, so the video made me cringe a little. However, I (try to) ignored the weird slang and the cute acts, and focus on the directions given. She gives pretty clear directions and made it easy. 😉
The result :
Turned out pretty good, me thinks.
Saved RM 50 and learned a new skill. All in all, 3 thumbs up! 🙂
I decided to try on a bright fuchsia coloured lipstick. Think it suits me pretty well, no? Many said better than the bright blood red colour that I tried couple months back. 😉
Since I’ve decided not to cut my hair until it grows long enough (and by that, I mean really long cause it’s been resting on my shoulders for months!), I thought it to be a good idea to learn some simple hairdos so that my medium hair mane won’t look so……… unkempt. 😉 So my first attempt at these two simple hairdos that I spotted and love immediately. It’s all simple, classy or sweet (depending on which one) and makes your hair look like you actually put some effort in it. Haha! 😉
1) The poof-fringe ponytail All I used was a bobby pin and a black rubber band. I did it somewhat right on the first time itself. Ended up with this look…
Close enough, no? Haha. Well, I’m happy with it. 🙂
2) The braided fringeAll I needed was one bobby pin. BUT, I had to try braid my fringe 4-5 times before succeeding in my first successful trial. You see, I’m not really good with normal braids, what more a fringe braid. But in the end, I managed this…
Pretty good for a first trial, if I may say so myself. 🙂
So now at least I can go around looking neat and tidy instead of my mid-length uncut hair that I’m trying to grow out. 😉
Saw this one Facebook. Just had to save the image so that hopefully, one day, I can try them all out! They’re all so lovely. If only I know how to do all these, but I’m learning now. One simple hairstyle, one simple braid at a time. Lol. It’s a very slow process cause I was never really talented in hairdos. Can’t even list down which is my favourite among all the above. They’re all so pretty. Love every one of them, except maybe number 1, 2 and 15. 😉
Okay. Maybe not simple for me, cause I’m never really good in tying hair except for ponytails and half-ponies. But I think for many, this would be quite easy, and it looks really pretty! This looks like the ‘waterfall braid’, but the very thin and fine type. Love it cause with this, it looks like those ancient crowns you can spot on some forest princess. I may not make much sense, but I think you’ll get the idea. 😉
Oooooooo…. I love this one. It just looks so chic! But I guess it’ll look nicer on really wavy hair like the one in this picture? Hhmmmm… Maybe I should reconsider straightening my hair. 😉
And this is why I can’t wait for my hair to grow longer~! This braid is so pretty, neat and classy~!
Fell in love with this braid the moment I saw it. So nice!
BUT, I haven’t figured out how to do it yet. Looks kinda simple, but it’s not. Not when it is without an instruction guide and I gotta learn and try, just by staring at this picture. Specially when my hair ain’t that long, it’s even harder. Well of course, gotta take into account that I’m not really good with braiding hair. When my hair was long last time, I used to have 3 styles, and 3 styles only. Let it down, a pony tail and a half pony. Lol. But I’m learning, now. Slowly learning. With all the different braids I’ve been seeing online, I’m excited to grow my hair again. And I intend to keep it long for some time. No more cropping it off, for a while. 🙂
